How to call Russia when WhatsApp doesn't work →
A permanent link is your personal calling address. You give it a name that makes sense to you (for example, "mum"), and the site creates a short unique address for it. The link never expires and never changes: share it once, and you can always call each other through it.
Send the link to the other person and ask them to save it: the easiest way is to add the page to the Home Screen on a phone, or bookmark it on a computer. The call is then one tap away — like an app icon.
The code is a short number for your link — for people who find digits easier than links. Say the code over the phone, the other person enters it on the home page under ‘Join with a code’ — and lands straight in your call. The code only works while you are waiting in the call; the rest of the time it opens nothing.
The page of your link has a switch — ‘Notify about calls on this device’. If the other person turns it on once, their phone will show a notification with sound whenever you enter the call — even if the site is closed. On iPhone this needs the page added to the Home Screen first, and opened from that icon.
Calls are blocked at the network level in Russia: WhatsApp has been fully blocked since February 2026, Telegram calls since August 2025, FaceTime since late 2025. It is not your phone.
The call opens as a normal web page and looks like ordinary internet traffic. If a direct connection fails, the call automatically goes through a relay server reachable from inside Russia.
